The Unique Blogger Award

I honestly can’t even believe that I would be considered to be nominated for The Unique Blogger Award but here we are. Thank you so much to Kara @ Bernard’s Book Blog for nominating me, I still can’t quite wrap my head around it but I appreciate it immensely. Her answers are awesome, by the way, so make sure to stop over at her blog and check out her own post too!

The Rules:

  • Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you
  • Answer the questions
  • In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award
  • Ask them 3 questions

1) If you were obliged to read the same book every month, which one would it be and why?

I honestly have no clue what my answer to this question would be. I want to say that it would probably be ‘The Raven King’ by Maggie Stiefvater because I just love Ronan Lynch as a character and, in general, I adore the book itself. He’s a character that I feel like I connect with so much and yet he’s completely misunderstood by a lot of the people that cross his path. I just love him, and the book is a masterpiece. It completely allowed me to get lost in a new world the first time that I read it, so I would happily read it many more times. However, I don’t know how many months I’d be able to get through before having had enough of it. Either that or City Of Bones by Cassandra Clare perhaps, as that was a book that really grabbed my attention quite a few years ago and I’ve been meaning to reread the series for quite some time now.

2) If you were a planet, which one would you be and why?

Honestly, I feel like I would be Pluto, as there’s a lot of internal discussion as to whether I’m actually a person or not. Does that make sense? I’m still trying to figure out who I am and, like many young adults, I do also go through my own existential crises on quite an often basis. Whilst I don’t know that much about the space community and I’m way sure that I’m not involved in NASA (at least not to my knowledge), there’s obviously been quite a bit of debate around good ol’ Pluto and whether it’s a planet or not. It also is pretty far out of reach – it’s somewhat disconnected from the rest of the solar system, which is how I find myself feeling most of the time (not always in a bad way). So, Pluto, I think. Disconnected and confused, but still there and still going.

3) What are your favourite Greek and Norse deities?

I knew that this question was going to give me grief ever since I first read it on Kara’s blog. Her answers are amazing and I really don’t have a clue how my post is going to live up to her own. When I think of Greek deities, the first one that comes to mind is definitely Ares and, going on from Kara’s answer, I just want to note that I too love the God Of War games. I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of the newly released one. My PS4 is on the other side of the world at the moment, but I’ll be reunited with it next week and I can’t wait to experience the game for myself. There have definitely been a huge amount of love for the new game, so I have high hopes.

For Norse deities, I’m just going to go with Thor. I love Marvel (most of the time) so I have picked up on a few bits of information about Norse deities through the franchise, but I’m no expert. That being said, I also did read Neil Gaiman’s ‘Norse Mythology’ but, apart from Thor and Loki, no further names are coming to mind. I promise I enjoyed the book, but no, I can’t think of any others.
The questions I would like to pass on are:

  1. If you had to take the place of one character in any book, who would it be?
  2. You have the choice to excel at one specific skill – which skill do you choose?
  3. You get to sit down with one author and grill them on whatever you’d like. Who’s the author?
Slightly breaking the rules here as I won’t be tagging a total of 8 people, but, anyway, I would like to nominate:

Karoline @ Okbo Lover
Thank you so much again to Kara for tagging me in this awesome post – sorry that it’s being posted rather late! I got a bit sidetracked with life, but this was still super fun to do!

Feel free to take part if you wish to and haven’t been tagged (we can pretend I tagged you).

Thanks for reading and I’ll write you later.

Spread The Love
